Hiking
With over 30 miles of hiking trails throughout 5,000 acres of protected land, Camden Hills State Park is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. The short yet quite steep Mt. Battie trail is walkable from downtown Camden. Alternatively, you can cruise up the access road from the main entrance on Route 1 in your car and enjoy the same wonderful panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. For a quieter experience, access the park from the entrance on Youngstown Rd, where the multi-use trail grants access to many of the park's less used trails.
