Spectacular views and one of our favourites to show off. This 3.7-km loop trail is located between Maple Bay and Genoa Bay. It takes an average of 1 h to complete. This is a very popular area for photography, birding, hiking, and trail running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Good shoes are a must! We find some parts of the loop challenging. Black bears are often sighted here, but you’ll see a warning if one has been seen recently. Again, spectacular views!!

MOUNT Prevost is the mountain to the northwest of Duncan that has the distinctive skyline with the two rock bluffs. To reach the summit it is an 8 km drive following the Prevost Mainline. I would recommend a good vehicle to do so. Very bumpy and steep, narrow areas. Once at the top there’s a small roughed-in parking area, you can then walk the steep embankment to the summit. Only just a few minutes , but can be strenuous. No flip/flops!!!! A great spot to sit for an hour or so.

Get up-close and personal with birds of prey. The centre’s goal is to educate, illuminate and inspire a sense of personal responsibility for both birds of prey and the environment. Daily flying demonstrations are educational, entertaining & fun. Eagles, hawks, owls and vultures fly back and forth between the educators, who will teach you about Raptor species around the world. Keep very still and you can feel the wing power as they swoop ever-so-close. The centre also offers hands-on experiences. Highly recommended for all ages.

Located in of Maple Bay, the Museum is a 17,000 square foot Museum of Natural History, and such an incredible experience for both young & old. Open 365 days a year, it’s free to take a tour, although donations are welcome and there’s a gift shop. An IPad is supplied so you can watch short video clips of things you like as you’re taking your self-guided tour. Rolf and I highly recommend this experience!!!
