4. Ayutthaya

45 minutes north of my house is the historical city of Ayutthaya! Must see place with ancient temples and ruins, a famous head in a tree, and more. Go there to any famous site, then pay a Tuktuk driver to take you to all the other famous sites. You can also hire bikes. This can be a day trip. Go by van, taxi, boat, train. Not far away but well worth it.
Very famous must see area. Just 45 minutes north. Day trip to here too s highly recommended. Go to this site first. Then get a Tuktuk driver to take you to all the famous sites.

Pattaya is a popular tourist destination. It’s about 2 hours south of Bangkok. It has a beach and all kinds of touristy attractions for families. However, it’s most famous for nightlife, crazy parties, dancing girls, Walking st, Agogo bars, etc. But there is a lot more to Pattaya as well.

It is near Pattaya. 2 hours away. I have a studio apartment here. Ask to use if interested. Town has great seafood, nice beach sunsets, quiet chill vibe. It’s 20 minutes from a great beach “haad sai kaew”.

About 2.5 hours away. Thailand’s first national park. Lots of wildlife. You can camp by renting tent, sleeping bags, mattresses, etc. It’s very cheap to rent. Place for food. Best if you have your own car. Hiking, waterfalls, cold at night, wildlife including elephants, gibbons, deer, macaques, porcupine, civets, hornbills and more.
