If you are a foodie, you have to go to the Lobster Lady. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This is fine dining at its best. It has a laid back atmosphere but you may want to wear your good flip flops. Reservations are available for parties of 5 or more people, otherwise it is call ahead.

It has a laid back atmosphere but you may want to wear your good flip flops. Reservations are available for parties of 5 or more people, otherwise it is call ahead.
The patio cafe is one of my favorite places for lunch. It has a small hot/cold sandwich menu but they do it well. The patio is not open during certain months so please call first.

Matlacha pronounced (Mat-la-Shay) was a small fishing village before the net ban. The small fishing shacks are now a collection of colorful shops. It is truly a unique experience.

This easy trail is for beginners. People with mobility issues may find this trail difficult. The trail will get saturated after a big rain and bug spray is recommended. The end of the trail makes it all worth it. Please take water with you when conducting outdoor activities in Florida.

This was once the premier attraction in the area but has not been taken care of over the years and is in a state of disrepair.

Cape Coral has an excellent Parks Department.
Our favorites are Joe Stonis Park and Saratoga Lake Park. Joe Stonis Park has a playground that is fun for younger and older children. Saratoga Lake Park has a great playground for younger children along with a pretty lake view and partially shaded walking path. The best time to visit the parks is in the morning, early afternoon or evening. The playground equipment does get hot from the sun during the middle of the day.

Fellowship Park has a spray park along with a playground for children. This is a fun/free way to stay cool during the summer months.

Grocery Stores
There is a great selection of Grocery Stores in the immediate area. Aldi, Publix at Coral Shores, and Trader Joe's (similar to whole foods) are all in close proximity. There is a Winn-Dixie on Pine Island and a neighborhood Walmart on Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral.
