This is another great beach on the Nevada side about 25 min drive from the condo. It also fills up quickly and parking can fill up as early as 10 am on the weekends. Bathrooms, food vendors, beautiful beaches, and even a stage for outdoor performances can be found here.

Squaw Valley Adventure Center
1960 Squaw Valley RdThis is our personal favorite ski resort about 20 min from the condo. Their village offers many amenities and they often host concerts and music festivals during the summer. In the summer, you can take the tram to the top of the mountain which gives you some beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
This is another great option for a ski resort. It’s about 20 min from the condo, a bit more family friendly, cheaper and smaller than Northstar and Palisades.

Transportation
Having a private vehicle is the easiest and most efficient way to get around the Tahoe area. There is a free door to door shuttle service called TART which will pick you up and top you off at whatever local destination you desire. There is a TART connect app that you can download to connect to this system. It works really well and helps avoid parking hassles.

Outdoor concerts at kings beach
Kings beach offers free outdoor concerts each Friday night from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm June through August. Food trucks offer food and there is beer and wine for sale.
