Another great walk right 5 minutes from the house. Hop in the car or go by boat and dock right up. This 1.6 mile boardwalk covers most of the downtown area. You will have great sights and lots of shopping, food, and drink options along the way.

Some of the most beautiful water in the area, Mason's Inlet will make you feel like you're sitting on a tropical island. This inlet splits the north end of Wrightsville Beach and the south end of Figure 8 Island. Watch the tide as it can get shallow at low tide. During the weekends it is crowded with locals but that is part of the fun.

If you're coming from the Cape Fear River, the Snows Cut channel will connect you to the Intracoastal Waterway which gets you to wonderful places like Masonboro, Wrightsville Beach, Figure 8 and more. This cut though is roughly 11 miles from the house.
