Across the street from Lincoln Park and Lincoln Park Zoo, great place to grab a delicious coffee drink and breakfast. My favorite item is their pb and j made with almond butter and fresh jam. At the bottom of Hotel Lincoln, a neat boutique hotel.

Beautiful zoo, and it is FREE admission thanks to generous donors. Take a stroll and stay as long or little as you would like. Great spot to walk to along a path to the lake. I recommend stopping here and walking to the south point, past a pond and over the North Avenue bridge to the beach. Stop and ask Chicagoans if you need to find the way, I trust they will be helpful. Typically open until dusk.

Located in the Lincoln Park community, parents gather with their preschoolers at Oz Park to enjoy the park which celebrates "The Wizard of Oz" theme. “Dorothy’s Playlot” is filled with play equipment for the little ones to climb, swing, and run. In the "Emerald Garden", families can enjoy a leisurely afternoon among the beautiful flowers. Take a stroll through the park and you’ll be greeted by statues of the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and everyone’s favorite, Dorothy & Toto. Organized activities for children include soccer and t-ball.
