Your stay in Haarlem is not complete without a visit to De Adriaan, a smock mill romantically located in the city center on the banks of the river Spaarne. If a miller is present, you will see a windmill in action. You can only visit the Adriaan accompanied by a guide. The tour lasts 45 minutes.
In the windmill you will become acquainted with the age-old technique of converting wind into productive energy. You will find a lot of information about windmills in general and about De Adriaan in particular.
