We came across this unique local bar whilst driving through William's Town - stopped in to quench our thirst in this interesting little place. We enjoyed their Bush Crack Beer and scoured the ceiling of this place which seemed to have names scribbled on every square inch. Guess we should have written ours too. We discovered that the beach where this quaint little bar is located on Mather Town, Freeport, is a busy tourist spot. There are 2 or 3 other establishments on the beach where tourists can rent snorkels and other beach activity gear.
We actually did a bit of sightseeing down Spanish Main Drive to see the beautiful properties flanking both sides of the road then dropped into Margaritavilla Sand Bar which is a right hand turn into Mather Town which is a turn off at the beginning of Spanish Main Drive. Mather Town is quite the active spot when the cruiseships are in.

On the recommendation of a friend, we drove down this interesting little road, just off of Spanish Main Drive. we stopped at Bertha's Blue Dinghy, a very popular spot for tourists where they could rent beach chairs, snorkel equipment jet skis & watersports. Caribbean music setting the mood with a Restaurant and Bar.
A little further up on Mather Town Drive, we also stopped at the Margaritaville Sand Bar for a cool drink. The Beach of course is the same stretch so was rife with activity and beach goers. The atmosphere inside the Sandbar was cozy and inviting.

On the way to the Pelican Point Beach at East End, visit Owl's Hole (at your own risk) as it is a natural rock cave formation. Expect a bit of a hike in. Just to the right at the "warning sign" there is an easily missed pathway to the Owl's Hole. We totally missed it and kept hiking until we realised we had gone too far.

On browsing the Internet, I discovered this little gem as an interesting place to visit. The wreckage of a Spanish ship called Nuestra Senora de las Maravillas is featured. She was carrying precious cargo to Spain from South America. This ship called sank in the north Bahamas in 1656.
