A trip to The Blasket Island is a must do when staying in Dunquin!
Ferry trips are weather dependent and run from April to the end of Sept.
The ferry departs from Dunquin pier. The pier is a 10min walk from the apartment and the ferry journey is approximately 30min each way.
You can hike on the island, relax on the beach watching the many seals or go on a walk through the ruins of the island village.
The island has been unhabited since 1953/54.

Its a 1.5 hour drive towards Killorglin from the apartment.
