Yes it's a chain but it's new for us SLO folks. Great, pick-your-own-toppings pizzas and good selection of draft beer. Nice outdoor seating area. And it's close to the house.

Libertine's own brews are sour, maybe an acquired taste but I really like the Casa de Newton made with pommelos from the owners backyard, it's grapefruity. The best local brews are also on tap if sour is not your thang.

You can walk there from the house, it's one of the Seven Sisters peaks, one of the five that is open to the public. Striking views and relatively easy hiking. Every season has its own beauty. Open dawn until dusk. No night hiking. Strict leash laws.
