We actually use original recipes which have made it across the Atlantic. All our batters are made fresh with real products like eggs that we crack, 100% butter and milk. We serve real potatoes, real whipped cream, fresh ground coffee, and yes, we do squeeze real oranges so we can serve you REAL orange juice. Unique and special signature items which you had better try or miss out are; German Potato Pancakes, Danish Aebelskievers, Dutch Babies, Swedish Crepes, Cream of Tomato Basil Soup with homemade Sunflower Wheat Bread. Also for lunch, you can get a real German Ruben on Dark Rye, or a Greek Chicken and Vegetable sandwich. with an array of homemade soups. Open for breakfast and lunch only.

Back in mid-2000, our company started with formulations and experiments written in notebooks in a tiny house kitchen in North Pole, Alaska during the evenings while small children slept. Testing and tuning, using locally sourced ingredients and staying true to our personal values is how Mountain Madness Soap Co. got its start. Given our love for mountains, the name was a natural fit. Gifts made, testers sent to family and friends who wanted more when they ran out and the dream that this could be something larger started out as our motivation. Gifts turned into the demand for more gifts, which turned into doing craft fairs and Farmers Markets and after 10 years of making natural products, being passionate about our footprint and caring about our community we expanded into a small 1000 sq. ft. retail store in downtown Coeur d’Alene. The retail store gave us a place to collaborate our ideas, experiment and to continue to be innovative. In 2016 we continued to expand our business due to the demand and have since relocated to a 4200 sq. ft. building on the main street in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Here we continue to hand make all of our products, collaborate with other local businesses and foster a creative and supportive work environment. You may still bump into us driving our ’72 VW bus and set up at regional craft fairs. Hey, it’s our passion, it’s what we do.
