This is another cool live jazz bar. Lookout for any flamenco jazz shows, they are usually amazing. If you ever see that Jorge Pardo is playing there, we highly recommend it.

Food Scene
An incredible old market renovated into a modern but great market with a supermarket in the basement, a market in the ground floor and 2 upper levels of tapas and drinks. Don't forget the rooftop bar!

Similar to Mercado de San Anton, but perhaps a little more sophisticated. Both are great but different. This one is "prettier" on the outside perhaps, but the other one has a rooftop! Visit both!

You can only have cod "croquettes" here, but they are amazing. Order a wine or a "caña" (a small beer) and have a "croqueta de bacalao" and you'll have an amazing mid-morning snack to keep you going.

This is a cool place to get "pintxos", the equivalent to tapas in the North of Spain. You take as many as you want and keep the toothpics on your plate. They'll count them to see what to charge you!

This is beautiful, you have to see it. It's one of the oldest plazas in Madrid. You can have a caña (small beer) on one of the outdoor cafes. A little touristy, but it has to be done!

This is a beautiful, small and very old theatre! The plays are usually great, and they also have live music by well known indie artists there, which you can enjoy if you don't speak Spanish.
