This is a fantastic deli within 5 minutes drive from our place. The Batali is the best sandwhich i have had - ever. I get it every time, without hesitation. Even as a vegetarian sandwhich, it is fantastic. This place is known for its sandwhiches, and its meats. They also have a great beer selection downstairs. Get a sandwhich and go next door to The Koelschip, a relatively new bar which great options and some of their own stuff (Central State Brewery). They let you bring your food over from the Goose so grab a sandwhich, a pickle, and have a beer.

Good asian food is hard to come by here in Indy, but Bangkok gives thai food a pretty good showing. If here during the week, come between 1130 and 130 for their $10 buffet.

As a vegetarian I still had to throw this on there because it is ranked one of the top 25 best steak houses in the country. I cant say i have personally tried it but obviously people enjoy it. People also really enjoy their shrimp cocktail. If you are going with a vegetarian, just ask the chef and they will cook you a veggie friendly pasta, which is still quite tasty.

I cant say i have personally tried it but obviously people enjoy it. People also really enjoy their shrimp cocktail. If you are going with a vegetarian, just ask the chef and they will cook you a veggie friendly pasta, which is still quite tasty.
This place is great. And new. Tapas style food, with great cocktails. Great for a beautiful day to spend on their rooftop seating.

Great spot for some cocktails. Sit by the fire on a cold winter night. They have their own whiskey as well, which is pretty tasty. No food here, but walk across the street and enjoy some good cheap Indian food at SpiceBox.

One of our favorite bars. Great spinach and artichoke dip, a good selection of beer, and voted BEST WINGS IN THE STATE OF INDIANA. Also, check to see what they carry from 3 Floyds, a very popular Indiana brewery. If they have Gumballhead or Zombiedust, those are a MUST. In fact, no matter where you go I would ask if they have either of those. If they do, its your lucky day.

Good local brewery with a cool vibe as the brewery is in what used to be a brick church back in the day. Food is so-so but beer is good.

SunKing was the original brewery here in Indy that changed the game. Their standard beers which you can find in most restaurants and bars are okay, but I think their best stuff is at the brewery so is definitely worth a stop.

On the 2nd floor of what is considered one of the best hotels in the city, they are also known for their cocktails. Its a beautiful building and a great place to enjoy some drinks outside. The food is so-so, would be better just to have a drink and enjoy food somewhere else tho in my opinion.

This is obviously not near Indianapolis. I only put it on here to make you aware that it exists. Gumball Head is my favorite beer of all time. Zombie Dust is considered one of the best beers in the world. These are pretty hard to find as they are distributed in minimal quantities and there is no way to tell really who is going to have it and when. If you are up for a treasure hunt I would bounce around the local bars until someone has one of these on tap. Gumball Head is more common to see than Zombie Dust, which I have seen available only once in the last year that I have been here.

If you are up for a treasure hunt I would bounce around the local bars until someone has one of these on tap. Rent or borrow a bike and take this trail around all of the neighborhoods of downtown Indianapolis. Built for the super bowl in 2012 this is my favorite thing to do when showing people our city.
