If you have to eat one thing in Vancouver, it could well be the salmon oshi sushi at Minami (or Miku, their sister restaurant). Everything else on the menu is amazing, and drinks are fab.

This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in Vancouver. The aburi sable fish is ridiculously tasty and is a must try. Bar seating to watch all the magic happen. Reservations are a must as it does get very busy.

It's a smokin' Japanese hot dog, cross it off the bucket list. They also have a stand on the corner of Burrard / Smithe. Look for the orange umbrella.

Truly authentic omakase with the freshest ingredients of the day, closest experience you can get next to being at Tsukiji market in Japan. The husband and wife run the bar which seats 10 at a time for three seatings a night. Resos are a must.
