I guess you will visit "Gamla stan" which is a fantastic place, but packed with tourists. A good place to go for lunch is Sally´s. Good food.

Kulturhuset always offers good and art exhibitions , and have good varieties for kids and youths.
Every Sunday next to the water at Hornstullstrand they have a market, with food trucks and different music entertainments.
It´s like being in. Camden market on a Sunday....but much, much smaller :) A nice place to hang out!

I love the Museum of Photography! It takes 30 min to walk by the water from here. You must at least have a coffee in their café/restaurant and overlook the great view of "Djurgården and the castle.

The Contemporary Museum of art is located very nice! Check their current exhibitions out and do have lunch in their restaurant.You better take a walk around "Skeppsholmen" because it´s so beautiful

5 mins away is Tantolunden (park)which has a playground for kids, a little beach, Mini-golf, cafee´s and the cutest cottages on earth! It´s so nice to just walk around a look at all the gardens.

Another nice walk is to walk by the water by Årsta-viken. You start in Tantolunden and walk as long as you like. It takes about 2 hrs to walk all around Södermalm.

This place is great to go to on a rainy day! It´s all indoors. All of Astrid Lindgrens story-characters lives inside Junibacken and it´s a blessing for the kids. But be prepared with a lot of energy!
