Parks & Nature

In this place Hitlers first attempt to make a radar was started. The remains of this huge steel construction may be observed inside 'Borga', a stone and concrete made round fortress on top of a hill. This was built by foreign prisoners of war, many of them from parts of the Soviet Union and the round stones in the fortress is most likely carried by hand from the seabed below. There is now a cafe and toilet facilities just below 'Borga'. Also a perfect place to watch the midnight sun or just a stroll along the road. There is also a path leading to Unstad if you continue to the end of the road on Eggum.
