This is one of my favourite nearby cafes. The guy that owns it is really nice and the coffee is great! The breakfast burrito is good.

This is the best Thai in Newtown, but it is more expensive... It is worth it, but there is so much great cheap Thai in Newtown so if you're on a budget you'll find something great elsewhere!

Cheap Italian that tastes good! Also, the staff are rather entertaining so it's like getting dinner and a show for half the price of a regular Italian restaurant!

Mafia gelato! Not actually run by the mafia, but I like to think it is. There's always tough looking guys eating gelato out the front. I like the contrast between the 2 items (tough guys&gelato). Yum!

There is heaps of great Vietnamese in Marrickville. I dare say you'd be safe to get a good cheap meal at any of them. This one is very popular, if it's too busy just go next door - it is also good!
