Your best option for a quick hike into the Grand Canyon from the South Rim.
We're both somewhat experienced hikers, and on a fine late April weekend it took us 2 hours or so to hike the 3 miles round trip to Cedar Ridge and back, the perfect vantage point for experiencing the Canyon up close. Can't wait for next time, with more time, when for sure we'll descend further into the Canyon on South Kaibab Trail.

It's often said about Las Vegas locals that casinos are our Main Street. The GVR is the best example of that creed. There's a movie theater, an outdoor shopping mall, and of course all the dining, night-life and other amenities that you'd expect at a large casino resort.

Everything about Chef Marc's is just as it should be. A charming locale on the intimately small side in a quiet location off-Strip. Fresh, expertly prepared menu. Wonderful service, including having Chef Marc checking in with our table during and after the meal. So far, my favorite Italian restaurant in Las Vegas.

Hoover Dam is a marvel of early 20th century engineering in an amazing setting.

"The ghost town was awesome - I highly recommend it. It's actually the Techatticup Mine right outside of Nelson.
7 people live there.
The property is really awesome - lots of old cars and gas station pumps, a crashed plane from a film set, and tons of junk from the past inside the store.
The gold mine tour itself was so interesting - there is definitely still plenty of gold inside there. Their last tour is at 2pm. The Colorado River is also 5 miles away and there's an area where people swim.

All the inventory is lovingly curated and displayed by the owner.
