Food Scene
This place is often featured as the most unique restaurant in the state. It’s an upscale seafood, pasta, steakhouse. You can eat overlooking the lake. It’s just a neat place. Expensive so I always go for Happy Hour (M-F 4p-7p; Sa 4p-6p; Su 4:30-6) instead and get good food and drinks for a handful of dollars. It’s about a 20 minute drive.

This is Cleveland’s oldest family owned restaurant. You get in line, grab a tray, and the family loads you up at a very reasonable price. One disclaimer, they have a picture or two of the Pope and a little, plastic religious statue here and there so if you would find that offensive, skip this place. There's often an older gentleman there playing the piano; his name is Tom. A 15 minute drive.

Sokolowski's University Inn

This is Michael Symon’s New American Eatery. It is excellent, but pricey. 2058 E. 4th. A 17 minute drive far into downtown Cleveland. This is the only one on the list where you’d have to pay for parking, since it is downtown.

This is just a little bakery counter with the same, nice woman working every single time and hardly ever any wait. Fresh baked breads and desserts. I always go for their lemon bars.
