It is the old plantation store revitalized! The bakery and cafe are excellent. (I highly recommend the Lau Lau and the Lillikoi Tarts!) The groceries are mostly organic and local when possible. There is family friendly local live music on Friday evenings between 5:30 and 7:30. It is the neighborhood gathering place for the town.

Honokaa is a historical poneolo cowboy town. There are several really great restaurants a revitalized historic theater and plenty of fun shops and local people to talk story.
