Simply excellent. It all looks simple but it's all so fine, fish and meat perfectly cooked, everything homemade, great entrees/desserts too. The place is a bit pricy (16-20 euros for main plate) but it's well worth it. They don't take reservation, you have to be there to be seated. If it's packed, don't worry, the neighbourhood is FILLED with restaurants.

10 minutes from my house with the tram, you get to Chinatown. If you like Asian food, it's the place to be. Eat some Peking duck, great vietnamese-french inspired soups (phô) and shop for herbs, raviolis or else at Tang Brothers supermarket, an institution.

48 Av. d'Ivry10 minutes from my house with the tram, you get to Chinatown. If you like Asian food, it's the place to be. Eat some Peking duck, great vietnamese-french inspired soups (phô) and shop for herbs, raviolis or else at Tang Brothers supermarket, an institution.
My favourite wine shop in the neighborhood. They only have good wines, and they are great advisers.

Amazing hot chocolate, the absolute best. Incredible pastries too. Traditional and fancy. No wonder so many people want to sit inside, it looks from another century. If it's packed, you can take it to go and sit in the Tuileries garden right in front of Angelina. The taste will be the same.

This is a great great museum. Yes, it's about hunting, but a certain culture of hunting, a classy one. Stuffed animals, artefacts, it's a fun visit for adults and kids, and the villa where it's settled is historic.

Essentials
It's the biggest and cheapest supermarket of the neighborhood. You can find everything there, but I usually only shop for the essential stuff, and buy my vegetables/fruit/meat/fish on the market (Wednesday and Saturday mornings on Cours de Vincennes.)

If you just need a few things, forgot to buy something, my friends in Proxi should have it. Of course, it's a bit more expensive than regular supermarkets, but it's right across the street.

Just wander on the Canal Saint Martin banks. It's calm, but it's also a meeting place for the youth. You'll find little bars and interesting shopping places in the streets nearby, and you'll end up in La Villette, which is an interesting place to visit if you like science, and an overall open-air parc with lots of activities.

There are vegetable gardens on the rails, planted and used by the neighbours. During the day, you can go study/work with your computer, it's calm and the light is nice. It's kind of overpriced to eat there, get a drink !
