A great alternative to the crowded Borough Market. But Mercato only has restaurants, no fresh produce, a lot of choices ranging from Pizza, Burgers to Vietnamese, large indoor and outdoor seating with a cinema as well. Great place to hang out with friends.

My favourite place to go for a decent meal, the chef change the menu regularly, you would need a reservation normally, but pop by early to see if you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar

The best upscale Indian restaurant in London. I have tried a few of the michelin starred one like Trishna, and Cinnamon Club, but this place is the real, authentic Indian food.

40 Maltby street specialises in serving Organic wine and great small dishes. casual dining with amazingly yummy food. Best day to go are Sat or Sunday, take a walk at Maltby street market, stop in for some great wine selections and small plates.

A lot of guests asked me about Indian food. Tayyab is the place to get the best naan bread, and there is always a queue, it has been around for over 80 years, cheap, great food, BYOB place. Get there early for dinner, avoid weekend (i have waited 2 hours once).

Best cheap pasta place in London, Padella makes their pasta fresh everyday - I know, because I walk pass it everyday. Pasta dishes are from 5.5 to 13 GBP, daily menu - but Pici (my favourite is always on it - cheese sauce with Black pepper) - don't miss Padella, even that means you have to queue.

Jose brings Madrid to you here, my absolute favourite spot in London to have Spanish tapas, don't even both to look other places, this is the one you need to try. Daily fresh ingredients, Iberico Pulma is my favourite, all seafood dishes are good. The only thing i would say to you is, not to be put off by the queue and the fact you have to stand and eat. It is worth it, and it is fun to experience Madrid in this tiny restaurant. (Jose Pizzaro has another restaurant which you can book down the road, but Jose is much better)

Since I'm Chinese, I better put a Chinese restaurants on my guidebook! If you fancy great Chinese food recommended by a Chinese, then come here, there are a lot of choices in Chinatown, but none nearly as good as Dragon Castle, it is great for both Dim Sum and Dinner, it is a Hong Kong style restaurant.

If you fancy great Chinese food recommended by a Chinese, then come here, there are a lot of choices in Chinatown, but none nearly as good as Dragon Castle, it is great for both Dim Sum and Dinner, it is a Hong Kong style restaurant.
For those who wanted to visit the Shard, I would recommend Hutong instead to get some cocktails and Chinese food instead of paying that hefty 29 GBP to the view deck, it is practically the same view without paying the price. Oblix is also a great alternative with live music
