The Ship Inn is a Fuller's pub at the top of town that does a good selection of Fuller's beers and good pub food. It's our preferred pub in the area for a Friday or Saturday night. It also plays live sports, both football and rugby.

People travel from around the country to try out the Swinley Forest bike trails. There are various difficulties to suit experienced bikers or young families. There are also a whole host of walking routes and other outdoor activities in the area, including the Lookout Discovery centre.

The Lexicon is a brand new shopping mall built as part of the recent town redevelopments. It's about a 5 minute drive and has all your typical high street shops.

The Lexicon is a brand new shopping mall built as part of the recent town redevelopments. It's about a 5 minute drive and has all your typical high street shops.
Reading town centre and the Oracle are the best places to shop if you want to make a day of it. It takes around 20 minutes to drive there, so we prefer to take the train when we go.

South Hill Park is an arts centre run by Bracknell Borough Council. It's worth checking out the website to see what's on, we've heard the Comedy night on a Friday evening is very good, but we haven't had a chance to get down there ourselves yet.
