城市觀光建議
周邊交通資訊
Rent a car
Although it's not impossible to get to Lemede by public transportation, it's not very reliable. If you really want to discover the area and be more independent (not much to do in the village), it's better to have a car.
風俗和文化
It's hard to be vegan/vegetarian
Although you might find some options in big cities, it's rather hard to find vegetarian/vegan options to eat. Although, if in season, you can probably get fresh bio vegetables or fruits from my parents.
風俗和文化
Lunch/Dinner hours
Portuguese people eat between 12-14 and between 18-21. If you arrive before/after those hours to a restaurant, most likely you won't get anything to eat.
不容錯過
Make sure to try those local dishes
There are some famous local dishes from our region:
- broa de milho (corn bread)
- chanfana (goat stew)
- leitao a Bairrada (piglet)
- pasteis de Tentugal (sweets)
- ovos moles (sweets)
- bolo da Pascoa (sweet bread during Easter)
不容錯過
Open-air markets
Every town nearby has a weekly/monthly open-air market on different days of the week. It's a great way to see the local culture, buy some local souvenirs and try some cheap local food.
省錢方式
Eat locally
If you are on a budget, avoid restaurants in the city. Instead, try some small restaurants in nearby towns/villages. Many of them will have a lunch menu (soup, main course, beverage, coffee) for less than 10€. If you are really tight on money, you can always go to the student canteens (you don't need to be a student to eat there; vegetarian options also available).
風俗和文化
Hora da sesta
As in Spain, main shops/restaurants have a break after lunch.
風俗和文化
Don't be shy to approach people
Portuguese people are very friendly and welcoming. Even if they don't speak your language, they'll do their best to communicate with you and help you out.
攜帶物品
It can get quite hot!
If you come during summer, it's kind of obvious that you should bring your beach clothing. But don't forget to bring a good suncream as well and avoid going to the beach between 12 and 16 (otherwise you might get some nasty sunburns).
