The food market on Main Street is open every Sunday and the first Thursday evening of each month. It is always a massive crowd-favourite and people flock from JHB's suburbs to come taste the ecclectic variety of food, from Ethiopian to Mexican to good old South African braai faire. Highly recommended although it's always very full of people.

Arts & Culture

The Bioscope is an independent cinema in the heart of Maboneng, offering documentaries about South Africa, under-the radar local movies, and cheesy kung-fu themed evenings. It is adjacent to the PopArt theatre, which is a small theatre space constantly hosting interesting local productions.
