Visit the lovely medieval village of Vicopisano! Spectacular great tour of a historic monument with a wonderful view of surroundings. The views from top are well worth the climb and through each part of the castle from the prison cells, the walls and the tower, you will be given excellent explanation and history.

Via del PretorioVisit the lovely medieval village of Vicopisano! Spectacular great tour of a historic monument with a wonderful view of surroundings. The views from top are well worth the climb and through each part of the castle from the prison cells, the walls and the tower, you will be given excellent explanation and history.
Piaggio museum is amazing and you don't have to be a scooter lover to 'get it' from first prototype to the latest model something for everyone. It has things if interest to anyone, even with the remotest interest in motor cycling. Its technical enough but not too much. The "corporate history" is interesting. The bizarre motor bike designs aiming to beat records in 1930s and 1940s were fascinating. Well worth the time. There is also a downloadable app which when used will bring up the pieces explanation.

Volterra
Volterra is one of the oldest towns in Tuscany, located on a hill between Pisa and Siena. Due to its ancient origins (dating back to the Etruscan period) and its excellent condition, there are many things not-to-be missed. Calci is a collection of villages with an ancient history, but the main attraction is certainly the monumental complex of the Certosa of Calci, one of the most important monasteries of the Certosine order in Italy. Founded in 1366, the Certosa of Calci was heavily renovated in the seventeenth century and transformed with frescoes, marbles, etc.
