Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This is a 90-year-old traditional Kyoumachiya certified by Kyoto City. World heritage Ginkakuji Temple and the path of philosophy are within a 5-minute walk. It is also a convenient location for Nanzenji and Heian Shrine. Kyoumachiya, where ordinary people enjoy the seasons and enjoy daily life, is a relaxing and nostalgic space. It is 92 square meters including the 2nd floor, and the wet area is easy to use and has been renovated, so you can spend it comfortably.

Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free. Located in the neighbourhood of Ginkakuji temple and Philosopher's path. it's good location. easy to visit every tourist place !

It is situated on a charming path within walking distance of numerous temples, including Ginkakuji, Nanzenji, Eikando, Heian Shrine and the Philosophers Path.
