Gaze at the endless night skies while sitting on the porch swings or soaking in the hot tub from this well appointed desert home. Decorated with style & comfort, the outdoor fire table, solarium, movie room & chic furnishings make it an ultimate private escape that feels like home. On 2.5 acres conveniently located off a paved road, our horseshoe driveway provides ample parking inside our fenced-in property. The 1900 square foot home has been recently and creatively remodeled with an open-concept upcycle theme boasting clever features and luxurious amenities. Fusing eclectic furnishings and modern conveniences, my home is smart. Lock and unlock the front door with your smartphone. Temperature control via a Nest learning thermostat. Control lights, music and entertainment with voice command via an electronic assistant. Link your bluetooth phone to the soundbar, nostalgia music unit and bedroom speakers. The living room, kitchen and dining area are open concept flanked by the living room picture windows and french doors which lead to a fully enclosed backyard patio solarium. The living room is a cozy hangout with a fireplace and vintage eclectic furnishings including a WWII weapons crate turned coffee table and a 1930's circle lamp. For fun, a nostalgia music station plays records, tapes, CDs, radio and bluetooth music. The kitchen boasts polished concrete counters, open shelving, Capresso coffee station, Nespresso machine, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove, full-size refrigerator/freezer with ice machine and everything you need for light cooking and dining. Counter seating, custom reclaimed wood trim, iron pipe accents and a desert-view window box will have you cooking and dining in style. Our dining area is a custom-built and matched upcycled picnic table lighted by a one-of-a-kind block light fixture built by an etsy artist. Our 700 square-foot media room is a set up for modern and old-fashioned fun. Pull the room darkening shades and lower the screen for a movie or challenge a chum to a head-to-head dart game. Peruse our board game collection or set up your laptop at the powered desk and get that work out of the way. Bring your passwords for your favorite app-based entertainment on the flat-screened 4k smart TV with built-in Roku. The movie screen is connected to an amazon fire stick. The commercial front-loading washer and dryer are available for guest use. The Milky Way Master bedroom has a California King bed, full-size closet, empty drawers, bedside plugs, ceiling fan, bedside fan, room-darkening curtains, bluetooth speaker and luxurious linens for a restful night's sleep. The newly remodeled master bath has an elongated toilet with bidet, shower and roman whirlpool tub to soak away your hike's aches and pains. Polished concrete counters, reclaimed wood trim and custom iron pipe hardware make the master bath a unique cozy retreat. The Cactus Garden Guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed, full-sized closet, empty drawers, bedside plugs, ceiling fan, bedside fan, bluetooth speaker, room-darkening curtains and luxurious linens. The guest bath has an elongated toilet, shower and bathtub with built-in grab bar. The outdoor living space includes an enclosed solarium with views for days. Open space with the polished concrete floor is calling for your yoga mat. A hightop teak dining set is great for morning coffee and evening drinks and any meal in between. The open porch has a polished concrete pad with two artisan-created double pallette swings with live edge wood arms and accompanying side table made from tree branches and upcycled pallettes. There is also an adjacent outdoor seating area with teak chairs, a outdoor patio heater and propane fire table. Make your way to the outdoor hot tub and soak up the desert vibes and night sky. The soaking patio has a hot tub, patio heater and outdoor lounging space with views for days. For fun, the side yard has a double horseshoe pit. To complete your outdoor experience, the backyard has a propane and charcoal combo barbeque for your outdoor cooking needs. Guests have access to the entire house and the fenced-in areas of the property. There is no garage access and we ask guests stay within the fenced area for your safety. Joshua Tree is a natural environment and there are coyote packs living in the region. We suggest guests review the natural features and hazards of the region prior to your visit. We are available 24/7 via phone for urgent matters and Alex is mere minutes away in an emergency. We are available to help if you need us but our focus is on your privacy. This retreat is nestled in an area with a rural feel surrounded by land and plenty of space. The home is close to all of the amenities that Joshua Tree Village offers and is only minutes to the natural wonders of the National Park.

The Phoenix House in Joshua Tree Village

Welcome to the JTree Phoenix House - our brand new listing (please feel free to check out our other two listings in LA and Big Bear for all our positive reviews)! The town of Joshua Tree is the gateway to the awe inspiring national park in the magical Mojave. The JTree Phoenix House is located just off Park Boulevard, the road that takes you to the Parks West entrance. This amazing getaway is located in the heart of Joshua Tree Village and only 8 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. Conveniently situated so that you can easily walk to local restaurants or local fare. What better way to enjoy the unique desert, Joshua Tree and the Joshua Tree National Park! Inside our house, you will find a cozy living room with fireplace, a separate dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, one master bedroom with king bed and one guest bedroom with queen bed, AC, wireless internet and netflix streaming. There is plenty of natural light pouring through from the windows. There are two outdoor areas to enjoy: the front porch and enclosed backyard. Our south facing front porch is made for relaxing. Enjoy your own, fully fenced private backyard where you can hang out in the hammock, watch the stars, BBQ or read a good book. Both beds have new quality foam/latex mattresses, premium down comforters and cozy cotton duvets - you will just want to stay in bed forever! To make it more fun, the large screen TV pulls out from the wall and can be viewed from any angle in the living room. TV comes with Netflix, HBO, (no Cable), Blu Ray DVD player and WiFi. So many movies to choose from! There is a full kitchen just in case you are inspired to try something new, so please cook away! We offer free condiments such as olive oil, Himalayan salt, pepper, several premium tea varieties and fresh ground coffee and expresso. Bouldering, hiking, wildlife (quail, roadrunner, tortoise) and Petroglyphs can be found at the end of the street (two minute walk) in Coyote Hole. There's a wealth of things to do in the area. For food, there's a great cafe around the corner called Crossroads Cafe, fresh smoothies and health food at Natural Sister’s Café and great Thai at Royal Siam Cuisine Thai Restaurant. There are also some great bars in the area including the brand new “The Station” and the Joshua Tree Saloon. Joshua Tree is a magical place. Come and discover why it’s so special! Just minutes from Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown and replete with original art by the late Gerald Zeldin, custom furniture, and a grand piano. Also close to Joshua Tree park and the amenities of Yucca Valley. The historic mining property of The Ranch of The Rising Sun was designed and restored as a completely off-grid haven by filmmakerJulian T Pinder. The Ranch of the Rising Sun, a mining base camp built in the 1920's, is the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern amenities. Off grid on a full solar system and water well, the home also provides high speed wifi, state of the art cooling and heating systems on a smart NEST thermostat, flatscreen tv with Netflix, Amazon etc, new top of the line oven / stovetop, vintage sound system with Bluetooth capabilities, keyless door entry etc. Guests have access to the entire house and property, including the wood burning stove (eucalyptus firewood is provided at all times free of cost), cowboy wood burning hot tub / cool dipping pool, grand piano, native cactus garden, fire pit, outdoor banquet dining table, hammock, alkaline drinking water, and some of the best hiking in the area right out the back door. The house and property are also right off of Pioneertown Road, with no long rough dirt roads to navigate and beat your car up on. The ranch was built and owned by Julian Pinder, who has lived in the area for years. Rent from locals, not out-of-town investors! Entire house and property, as well as endless hiking and adventuring right behind the house on thousands of acres of stunning Wildlands Conservancy land, no tourists or park fees to deal with, just old fashioned exploring! There are detailed self-check in instructions. Tyler, my friend and property manager lives nearby and I'm 5 miles away at my other ranch. We respect your privacy 100% but if you need any advice, help, or have any questions we are always available by text or phone 24 hours a day. Pioneertown was built in the late 40's as a functioning movie set by Roy Rogers and the Sons of Pioneers; hundreds of Westerns have been shot here. Catch live music at Pappy and Harriets, minutes away, and go hiking and horseriding out the back door. Unfortunately you'll need a vehicle out here, it's rural! *There's a very strict maximum of 4 guests in the house as the solar and septic system cannot handle any more than that.

Smooth surfaces and warm accents set a contemporary tone. Three acres of gated paradise include a luxe swimming area, outdoor shower, and fire pit. This property sits between the main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park (15 minute drive) and Pioneertown (10 minute drive). This private relaxing retreat location allows you to reconnect and recenter with nature taking center stage. Featured in Dwell, Home Magazine, ArchDaily & Dezeen! This house has been designed to enjoy the natural landscape. Most walls can slide open to have an indoor/outdoor feel. The house has black out drapes for privacy. The pool/spa area is private with three king sized sunbeds. We will provide guests with an electronic code to access the property via the driveway gate and front door. The entire property is available for this rental. We ask that all guests be careful walking around the property as cactus are numerous. Please leave no trace on the grounds and respect the desert and the wildlife. I am available to answer any questions that you have. The property is in an area that resembles being inside the park. Your retreat begins as you leave paved roads onto desert roads composed of decomposed granite (DG) to get to the property. The house guide provides an overview of day hikes in the park. Please ask for any recommendations if you are interested in hiring a private chef to cook a high desert inspired meal, yoga instructor to teach a class or massage therapist to visit the property during your stay. A vehicle is necessary to get around the area. The home comes complete with Waterworks fixtures, Ann Sacks tile, and locally sourced items and furniture. Art by Jim Olarte. Not formally trained in Architecture, Andrew designed the exterior and interior for Boulder2Sky. Mark's family helped in building items such as the fire pit, the gate and some beds. Solar panels are used to help reduce carbon footprint.

Suncatcher House features sweeping views of the National Park and a distant horse ranch. The home features two primary suites, a spacious 3rd bed + bath, a comfy daybed in the living room. The layout allows for great privacy among guests. Outside relax in the cowboy tub or hammocks while you admire vistas of the park at sunset. When night falls, cozy up by a fire under the stars or soak in the claw foot tub after a long hike. Isolated feeling just moments from all of the town's best action like Tiny Pony, Frontier Cafe. Guests love our location and the views leave you recharged and relaxed! Suncatcher is a place to relax, and have fun under the happy rays of the Mojave sunshine. Experience an intimate trip for two, or spread out with a group throughout the four separate sleeping areas. Enjoy striking desert views from the private backyard as you splash in the cowboy tub, gather around the fire pit, or swing in a hammock. We come out and use the house ourselves often so we have outfitted the home with lots of love and conveniences for cooking. We have a game and book library for you to enjoy during your stay- we think the desert's the perfect place for a digital detox ;) Access to the House and private Backyard with Cowboy tub :) ! Our property manager is near by and ready to assist :) The house is located between the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and Pappy & Harriet's in nearby Pioneertown—a 10-minute drive to either place. There's a market down the road, as well as a yoga studio, coffee shops, and adorable antique stores. The best way to get around is with a car - Uber and Lyft both service the house as it's on a paved road, so if you're planning on partying at The JT Saloon or Pappy's ride share will still be an option for getting back to the house. We do have security cameras at the house entrances. You are welcome to have family and friends gatherings in the space but please treat it with care - it is a special place to us we use often ourselves and not just a hotel to us.
