Cabin on Swede Hill

Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

Rensselaer Dreamer

"Rensselaer Dreamer" apartment is the mirror image of "Nora" which is the other half of a newer duplex apartment. Near downtown Rensselaer and the county court house, restaurants and churches and only 3 miles to I 65. The property has 2 TVs and free WIFI, fully applianced kitchen with stainless steel appliances, coffee maker. A very comfortable memory foam mattresses, ceramic bathroom with heated floor and fluffy towels AND ATTACHED GARAGE!! Very private patio area with a swing under a pergola.

You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the swing or rocking chairs and listen to the night sounds or chat with friends. I have to warn you definitely not a hook up spot or party house!!! typically rise with rooster on this 5 acre country setting with a small fishing pond. 420 friendly .. Quiet hours are 11 -8 generally some music playing, musicians are welcome !! if you happen to book on a Sunday i host an Open Mic in my Barn every Sunday ..... pretty relaxed. Upon arriving, turn into the driveway, and then right into the yard. Apartment is upstairs, the door is open with the keys inside. ✌️

The Oak Tree Lodge is located in a country setting and offers a private lodge with an outdoor area for relaxing and entertaining. The former barn structure has been beautifully transformed in a rustic and comfortable lodge to rest, relax, and renew. We have renewed it into a fresh new life - as a lodge to invite friends and guests to enjoy and relax. The listed rate is for four people, and additional quests will be $25.00 per person.
