Countryman-Fox Carriage House

Considering the central location of this little gem, it is amazingly peaceful. To add to this charm, the cottage is fresh & bright with a lovely view across the valley. What a joy to walk across the street to the theater & dinner without parking issues. Besides being clean & safe, I like the king size bed, the fireplace, the choice of large tub or shower, the heated bathroom floor, and the little yard, the most. Charging is available for your electric cars in the upper parking area.

This is a scenic stop between PDX and SF and its own destination. One guest says " Her home has a magic of its own." Simple, elegant, and a great base for wine-tasters, paraglider, or roadtrippers. Just five minutes from the downtown Yreka I-5 on-ramp, this is a private getaway just on the edge of town. Decorated with stylish mid-century modern inspired out-of-this-world decor (with some books about extraterrestrials believed to be in Northern California) we can’t promise views of anything other than Mount Shasta and our resident wildlife - numerous deer and wild turkeys and hares make our tranquil property home with the occasional fox to liven things up.
