5 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows and a gentle rocky beach on Blue Hill's Salt Pond, a protected inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. Salt Pond Farmhouse

Salt Pond Farmhouse is a charmingly preserved 1813 three-bedroom cape, on the Blue Hill Peninsula, about half way between Blue Hill and Deer Isle, and an hour or so from beautiful Acadia National Park. The house overlooks scenic Salt Pond, and there is a path to the pond side, where small boats may be launched from the grassy shore when the tide is in. The Blue Hill Peninsula offers many activities, including sightseeing, art galleries, water sports, hiking, biking, birding, dining, and more.

This is an above garage apartment with a private side entrance, up stairs and off a deck. Water views. Public beach/ocean access at Bridge's Point Boatyard/Dow's boatyard is less than a half mile away. This property is not heated, space heaters available. All linens supplied. Well behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. Please note, Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are a one hour drive away. And the bathroom is tiny!
