Lodge on the Lake

A quiet 17 acre, ONE room cabin set on a private small lake, fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Equipped with a full kitchen, a grill, 4 OUT DOOR showers, no showers in cabin. Fully restored c.1900 farm house on 190 acre estate, ~1 hr from D.C. Cottage is situated at end of a farm road (past the main house and barns), very private w/ creek and cows right outside. Enjoy walks on the farm, local hikes, breweries & wineries, pick-your-own fruit farms, tubing on the Shenandoah, restaurants, antique shops, and more. 1 queen bdrm and bath on 1st flr, 2nd queen bdrm & loft with twin beds on 2nd flr. wifi, fire pit, small grill. The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Sunnyside Farm offers a luxurious stay in a beautifully restored historic forge. You’ll be greeted by the farm’s delightful hosts, Jimmy and Dean, two friendly Potbelly pigs. Beautiful cows forage right outside your door. The Forge features exposed wooden beams, brick walls, and cozy furnishings. The interior is designed with plush bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious living reminiscent of yesteryear. Breweries, wineries and famous antique stores nearby offer entertainment.
