The sabbatical house

Set in a coffee lot by a unique wetland area, this home is about twenty minutes away from Antigua. Still, it feels a world away. You'll spend peaceful days in the lush gardens and walk to the Mayan towns of San Antonio and Santa Catarina Barahona. Should you like, you can also get to know the kids who visit the "Caldo de Piedra" library next door. (Proceeds go to support it.) Pickup and drop-off is in Antigua is provided free of charge (up to 6 pm). Nature-, book-friendly.

Inspired by the architectural gems of Antigua, this lakefront home features a large central courtyard with traditional wood columns, fountain, outdoor dining room, and living room. The house features two identical master suites. Each with wrap-around balconies. Two other bedrooms have queen beds. Stay in our cozy cabin and enjoy the weather that invites you to light the fireplace at night. The green areas allow you to have a barbecue or play outdoor games, as well as gather around a campfire at night. It is the perfect place to enjoy a few days in the highlands of Guatemala and have a rural experience, visiting the region's famous restaurants, hiking or biking, and visiting the Mayan ruins of Iximche.

Casa de Pescado's was the first AFrame built in San Marcos La Laguna. This year 2023 we are very honored to open its doors to the public after thoughtfully partnering with a NYC friend and designer to bring our space to it's full potential. Guests will enjoy a private property with over 50 fruit trees and other exotic plants and flowers.
