Historically recognized both locally and Nationally. Experience history in the horse country! Built in 1843 one of the oldest standing homes in Lexington. Built as a bed and breakfast history suggests Abraham Lincoln stayed in the home once upon a time. The underground railroad stopped here, marked by the now 200 year old towering Oak tree. The floor plan allows for large scale entertaining and separates public from private spaces.

This spacious log cabin will make you feel like you're in Gatlinburg for the weekend! Decked out with log furniture, chainsaw carvings and a huge stone fireplace. Feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, when in reality you will be about 1 -2 miles from downtown Shelbyville antique malls & Horse shows, and only 15 minutes from Metro Louisville city limits. Also we are about 1 mile off I-64, just past a Cracker Barrel.

Our "castle" is the former Lawrence County Jail and Sheriff's Residence in Bedford, about 40 miles south of Bloomington and an hour from French Lick. The Tower Room has a comfortable queen-sized bed, private bath, and interesting original art. In the morning we will treat you to a big breakfast tailored to your individual tastes. Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, no problem for us--we love our guests and we love to cook!
