Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

Grab your lawn chair and head down to the creek on a hot summer day or lounge in a hammock listening to the running water. 10 min from Elephant Rocks State Park 20 min from Taum Sauk Mountain - Highest Natural Point in Missouri 20 min from Johnson’s Shut Ins Time to unplug. Phone service is limited on the property.

There is a park across the street with walking trails, basketball court and pickle ball court, so there is a basketball and pickle ball equipment in the house for you to take and enjoy at the park.

Cozy one room guesthouse with 3/4 bath, small fridge, microwave and coffee pot. King size bed, twin cot, and space for a pack and play creates a sweet little space for your sweet little family. Pets welcome. Outdoor seating area boasts of a well-lighted area with a fire pit and a hot tub to enjoy. Free parking available. Located near multiple state parks, quaint downtown areas, antique shops, restaurants, many wineries, golf courses, and more!

The Grandparent's Place

Our grandparents built this house by hand and filled it with memories as they raised three daughters here. Over the years, it also became the heart of family gatherings — a place where grandchildren visited, summers were spent in the garden, and Christmas and holiday meals brought everyone together. Come enjoy a space that has been cared for and treasured — a true family home, not just a house.

Come and have some fun at our semi- private cabin that sits on a stocked pond. We are dog friendly only. This property has 2 additional cabins and 2 houses available if needed. Each space has 5 acres creating a semi private experience to relax and enjoy the outdoors. ***please note due to drought, pond levels are extremely low.****
