There is thought and love behind every little detail. The house isn't perfect, there is raw wood, some things aren't finished, the furniture is vintage and may appear worn but if you look past that, you will find that everything there has its own story and that this house is made for the big things: sunrises, ocean dreaming and full-moons

Beachball B&B

Beachball B&B is located in the heart of the old village of Kalkbay. Set on a cobbled road that ends in a short flight of stairs it is not a thoroughfare. It is within easy walking distance of the tidal pool, the park, numerous restaurants and coffee shops, and the mountain behind with walking trails. The house dates back to 1875 and the unit is an independent wing with its own street access. The station is also close at hand, and there are wonderful shops to explore along the main road.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.

Freely explore the estuary by pedal boat and kayak right from the private deck or drive to the nearest beach (2.8km) or the famous Surfer's Corner (3.9km). Set high on the mountain slopes of Constantia Nek, Blackwood Log Cabin has panoramic views across the lush valley to the mountains beyond. The 2 bedroomed house sleeps 4 with 2 bathrooms. Power outages are being experienced by SA - the oven/stove is gas, the hot water is gas, the internet is solar driven and we have 2 battery lights for guests use.
