The cottage is 20 minutes drive from Elgin, 30 minute drive from Franschoek and 40 minute drive from Stellenbosch Relax in the woodfired hot tub, have a braai on the deck or take a hike in the mountains.

20 Mins from Hermanus and 1.5hrs from Cape Town, hidden in the beautiful Middlevlei Nature Reserve on the mouth of the Bot River is this majestic log cabin. The cabin is situated within a 200m walk of the lagoon and 1km from the beach. It consists of 2 bedrooms (2 x DBL bed, 1x Single Bunk) & 2 bathrooms, indoor fireplace, open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area downstairs with a balcony upstairs. There is a large outdoor entertainment area with a built-in braai and picnic table.

The Owl House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Owl house is a secluded romantic tiny homenjn the mountain side surrounded by bluegum forest. The cottage has a private greenhouse bathroom, a stocked kitchenette, open plan living area and large king sized bed. with large flap style windows and wrap around deck. Come enjoy a night under the starts at the fire pit. This cottage is off the grid with solar power and wood fire geyser. A short walk up the mountain.

Oppiedam Family Cabins (Flamingo)

The cabin is situated right on the edge of the Bot River lagoon. Has a big garden and the views are fantastic! Within walking distance of the beach and close to communal pool and tennis courts. Cozy 2 bedroomed double-storey log cabin, with two bathrooms. Queen size bed, double bed and single bed on the mezzanine. The wild horses often graze in front of the cabin and at times there are hundreds of terns and flamingos! Fully equipped for self-catering.

Swaynekloof Farm:Riverside Cabin

An affordable peaceful getaway, in an elevated wooden cabin, with lovely views. Enjoy this rustic escape from the city noise and bustle, and relax along the riverside at Swaynekloof Farm. Birdsong, rustling water and uninterrupted sunsets await! Double bed in the main room, and a sleeper couch in the lounge, preferably only for a child, with a simple shower bathroom, and the basic requirements for a relaxed self catering stay. A paddle in our double seated kayak is a must when the tide and weather conditions permit. Paddle a short distance across to the island and enjoy a picnic under one of our sun umbrellas and a dip in the mix of the fresh lagoon water and the Atlantic Ocean.

Beach cabin getaway in Pringle Bay

This is a tiny cabin built for the love of the Koegelberg nature biosphere. It floats on a sea of fynbos and lives out onto a large deck for breakfast with the birds, reading in the hammock, and dinner al fresco within earshot of the breaking waves. Its interior is a reflection of the coral pinks and misty greens shared by our ocean waters and floral kingdom.
