Deep Creek Retreat

Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. Telstra & Optus get good reception but may depend on your phone's antenna quality. 90 mins south of Adelaide GPO 5 mins to Deep Creek Conservation Park + 10 mins 4WD drive to Blowhole Beach Experience the scenic walk (or the 4wd drive) to the surf and popular fishing spot at Blowhole Beach. 10 mins from Cape Jervis and Sealink ferry to Kangaroo Island. A short 10min drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga or Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor (45min). Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.

Only a casual stroll to the town centre of Edithburgh (approx. 1km) Walk the Yorke just across the road that goes to Edithburgh or Sultana Point, which has the beautiful mosaic trail! Relax and unwind on the large deck while viewing Fishermans Jetty, Troubridge Island Sultana Point and the Wattle Point Wind Farm. All linens, bathmats and towels are provided. Strictly no smoking or pets.

The "Edithburgh Shack" is the perfect spot for you to relax, fish, scuba dive & swim! Or if you are the wandering adventurer, use our house as a base for exploring the southern Yorke Peninsula. Our house is located a few minutes from the famed Edithburgh jetty, boat ramp, tidal pool & beach. Plus you can easily walk to the cafe, store and hotel. It is 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with an outside pergola. No pets & no smoking allowed. You will need to bring some linen.

Undercurrent is an absolute beachfront self-contained property at Sultana Point that has everything you would expect in a holiday rental property and is only a short 3km scenic drive to Edithburgh. You can fish off the white sandy beaches just out the front - you are bound to catch something. The accommodation features 4 bedrooms with a double bed, 2 queen beds and a bunk room, which sleeps 6 children and has a children's retreat (sleeps 12 in total).
