Ferndale Farm: Forest Camping Cabin

For the nature lover. The teeny two sleeper wood cabin is well situated alongside a gurgling stream in an untouched forest boasting numerous fern and plant species. All food prep and cooking is at the lapa under the canopy of trees outside on a fire or two plate gas hob. A bag of wood is provided. Time spent at the cabin is for someone who wants to camp and relax with nature but does not want to set up a tent. All you need to bring is food and towels to shower and swim. We are pet friendly.

Fisherman's Cottage in the beautiful Karoo

Situated on the R400 dirt road between Jansenville and Somerset East, this cottage is the ideal getaway from the city. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you! The cottage is pet friendly and self-catering. There is no WiFi but there is cell reception. Some activities to keep you busy during your stay on the farm include: fishing, walking, bird viewing and cycling. The cottage is situated next to a dam. R300 PER PERSON PER NIGHT Children under 4 stay for free.

Charming Cottage in the Mountains

You can reach us on a 36 km stretch of scenic gravel road to come and enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature while staying in this unique off the grid place in the Kouga Baviaans mountain wilderness area. For winter the cottage is equipped with electric blankets, a gas heater as well as an indoor fireplace with a good supply of wood and more available to buy should you run out. The displayed miimum price apply to the first two guests and an additional fee per person from the 3rd guest

Ed's Place

Ed's Place is a charming, self-contained cottage with three en-suite bedrooms each having a king-size bed. The living area includes a comfortable TV lounge area, a large dining room table and a well equipped kitchen. The tasteful furnishings give a feel of rustic farmhouse comfort. The quaint, thatched cottage, perched on a high ridge in the Kaba Game Farm, commands a uniquely spectacular view over rolling grasslands, coastal forest, the vast Alexandria dune field and the ocean beyond.

Leopard's Den Remote Campsite

An isolated campsite 22km (50 minutes) from Graaff-Reinet . Surrounded by nature, birds and game. Situated in a valley among the mountains of the Camdeboo National Park. The rustic campsite has a sleeping deck which shelters a boma containing, a fireplace. There is an outside braai, cold shower and flush toilet. A place to relax. Completely isolated. A single campsite. Raised vehicle 2x4 or 4x4 required. Get away from it all when you stay under the stars.

The Tradesman

The Tradesman Shop is a quirky and historic unit with a beautiful courtyard and braai area. It is the last Tradesman shop that is still connected to the main house and dates from the 1850’s. It’s still has the original “brakdakkie”-ceiling so don’t get a fright when a piece of historic dust comes loose from the ceiling. The large courtyard at the back is a treat. Please note the unit operates on a gas geyser.

The Karoo Glamping Dome

Elegant domed glamping in the secure Camdeboo Conservancy, 25 mins drive from the historic town Graaff-Reinet in the Karoo. This Camdeboo valley is a place of silence, stillness & space. Views forever and ever. Easy access road, no need for 4x4 vehicle. Children are welcome on request, two children can be accommodated on folding camping matresses.
