The bird-life on the river is absolutely stunning and if you are a keen fisherman, make use of the handlines and catch a black bream. Pets are welcome to enjoy the property too. Great family spot.

Idriess Cottage

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. It is well equiped with 2 x kitchens & bathrooms, games room with pool table, air hockey, ping pong table, extensive verandas, fire pit, a cosy upstairs automated fireplace, kayaks and 2x bikes and plenty of parking space. You won't want to leave! Enjoy the quiet, tranquil setting on your veranda and in the evening watch the wallaby's grazing around the park like setting. We are on 30 acres of beautiful country with majestic gum trees. You are welcome to stroll around, pat the horses and check out the chook pen.
