Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Apenas a 35 kms da Serra da Estrela e 75 kms de Coimbra, numa pequena aldeia na Serra do Açor com entrega diária de pão fresco, está a RAIZ, uma casa de 1907 à sua espera para desfrutar de boas vistas e um magnífico pôr-do-sol no terraço. Espaçosa e acolhedora, ar condicionado, sala com salamandra e garagem com acesso directo à casa, onde encontra várias bicicletas para partir à descoberta da envolvente. It's a 10min walk through the village to the river with beaches and a café whilst charming Coja town is a 5min drive and includes several restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bank. A multitude of historic sights and outdoor activities are catered for in the surrounding area.

Our child friendly rural retreat has plenty of room to roam, relax and play! Just a few minutes from Tabua town you can access shops, restaurants and facilities with ease. Well behaved pets are welcomed!

Excellent for a couple or an individual who loves the simplicity, purity and silence of nature. The house includes an open kitchen and living room, a 11 m2 mezanine for sleeping, an outside shower, compost toilet in a 5000 m2 forest garden with granit boulders, natural structures, sculptures and chillout places.
