At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

Shepherd Moon - Sea View Cottage near NC500

Shepherd Moon is a charming traditional cottage in an outstanding location just off the North Coast 500. When you arrive, you will appreciate the private parking and electric vehicle charger at the rear of the cottage. Shepherd Moon has recently been tastefully updated, with everything designed to give you the best possible accommodation. Valhalla View-NC500

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place. Only 15 mins from John o'grotes and Dunnet beach Also the chance to witness the spectacular Northern lights (Aurora) on the right occasion.

Cairn Pod

Love camping, but looking for something a little more luxurious? Then look no further than Cairn Pod. Situated in a picturesque area of Bonar Bridge Sutherland. Located in the heart of the North Coast 500. (NC500) makes it an ideal accommodation for exploring the Scottish Highlands for a short or long stay. The Armadilla Pod comfortably sleeps two guests which can convert from 2 twin/ 1 double bed. Cairn Pod is equipped to a high standard with private parking and luxury home comforts.

The Byre - stone studio space, Talmine NC500/Beach

The Byre is a unique studio converted from a barn and is perfect for a peaceful break or romantic getaway! A comfortable hotel quality double mattress in self catering accommodation with stunning views of the sea and islands and within easy walk of a shop and beaches. A small but well equipped kitchenette with microwave, induction hob and small oven. Plenty of hot water. A woodburner and 2 heaters. Dogs welcome but 2 max due to restricted space. Great location as a base to explore.

The Kylesku Kabin- luxurious wilderness

A luxuriously appointed property situated on the NC500 overlooking some of the most iconic mountains and sea lochs of Assynt. Kylesku Kabin has been fully renovated by acclaimed architect Helen Lucas and is owned by the previous owners of the nationally recognised multi-award winning Kylesku Hotel, which is within walking distance. The property features a luxurious spa bathroom, including steam room and inspirational open plan living space, designer kitchen and garden.

The Wee Housie

A warm welcome, always, awaits you at our family ran apartment. There is a 2 ceramic hob rings with microwave oven, giving you the option to either eat out or have a cosy meal in. Ensuite bathroom, tv, double sofa bed and a single bed. Linen and towels provided. We are dog friendly but due to the small space this is at our discretion but please enquire prior to booking. We accommodate two people maximum with the choice of a sofa bed and/or single bed.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.

Whisky - Pods on the Croft

We are a working Croft in the heart of the highlands overlooking Loch Shin, with views of Ben More Assynt. Where a warm welcome awaits you. Come and explore what Sutherland has to offer from walking, canoeing and cycling to fishing and a good game of golf all within easy drive. Spend the night in either Whisky or Skipper. One of our pods named after our dogs. Take a seat on the deck with a cuppa or a glass and watch the world go by.

Croft house, Bettyhill, Sutherland

Our house in Bettyhill is central for touring across the Highlands of Scotland. The area is full things to see and do including, fishing on the River Naver, walking, surfing and cycling, with castles and historic places around. In summer you can enjoy the long summer evenings with daylight until after 11pm The house is located on the far North Coast of Scotland and is an ideal stop off on the NC 500 route.

Island View Glamping Pod

Island View Glamping Pods and our new pod Heilan Coo Pod offer a cosy stay for couples wishing to visit the Highlands of Scotland or travelling the world famous NC500 route. With spectacular views out to the islands at the entrance to the Kyle Of Tongue. The price is based on use of the king size bed ONLY MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY Check in time Strictly from 4pm Check out 11am

Lobster Bay Glamping Pod offers the perfect base for exploring the picturesque Northern Highlands. With breathtaking views across the Kyle of Tongue, you can see Island Roan, the Rabbit Islands, Ben Hope and the Watch Hill. Situated just 1 mile off the popular NC500, you’ll enjoy the peace and serenity, whilst still being close to popular destinations of the area.
