Moroccan Oasis Nestled on the City Bowl Hillside
Perched on the Tamboerskloof hills overlooking the City Bowl, this humble, beautifully textured and colorful home offers a cool, tranquil escape from the bustle of the town below. Stepping under the huge lemon tree, past the little sun-drenched plunge pool and through the antique studded door, you'll feel as if you were just plucked from a Moroccan seaside village, complete with mosaic tiles, woven ceiling mats and raw stone walls. Both bedrooms and the entire living and kitchen space open separately through big doors to the outside areas, cooled by the shade of the trees. Here's your oasis!!! Guests have full access to the home. I live nearby and am always available should you need anything. This home is in a hip neighbourhood on the side of Signal Hill. Round the corner is one of the city's oldest delis, currently called The Blue Café. Stroll downhill to quickly reach a cluster of restaurants, bars, delis, and shopping centres. Uber is hands-down the easiest and cheapest way to get around. The home itself is quite far up a steep hill, so walking from the bus stop (especially with your shopping) can be testing. If you do have your own car, there’s space for a normal-sized car inside the garage area. Garbage collection - the truck comes to collect every Thursday. I’d ask that guests please roll the big bin out onto the street before 8am in the morning. Please do not put the bin out the night before.

Simplicity and Comfort in a Beautiful Old Building
Seek sanctuary in the beauty of this old Victorian-style building that's the ideal place to quietly unwind. The balcony doors open up for plenty of light and fresh air from the garden. The 2 single beds in one of the bedrooms can be converted to a King size bed for a second couple or kept separate. Guests will sign in with security at the gate. I'll be staying in my painting studio which is not far away and I will be available at all times to assist. Long Street and the surrounding neighbourhood has an amazing collection of restaurants, bars, and cafes. All essentials are within walking distance, including supermarkets and pharmacies. The apartment has it's own garage to park your hire car and it is within 100m of where taxis congregate waiting for fares. For short stays, a house keeper will come in before check in and at check out. For longer stays, she will come in a couple of times a week (after 11am; Mon & Thurs); there is no additional cost, the extra cleaning just helps to keep things manageable. She will be available to do your washing & ironing if you request it. Note on the parking garage: The lock-up garage was designed for normal sedan size vehicles and will, unfortunately, not accommodate large 4WD's and panel vans. For guests that are going to be using a larger vehicle, there is a shopping center up the road that has overnight parking available (R100/night)

Contemporary Mountainside Studio Apartment
Beautifully appointed apartment in a wonderfully peaceful location, yet close to the best Cape Town has to offer. Convenient location on the edge of a national park but only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Kloof Street, the Cape Town CBD and beaches along the Atlantic Seaboard We live just around the corner from the apartment and are always available. Tamboerskloof is a popular, trendy suburb of Cape Town. It sits on the slopes of Lion's Head and boasts an eclectic mix of architecture from Victorian to modern. There is a fantastic selection of restaurants, cafes, and bars in the neighbourhood. We are walking distance from a Myciti (local bus service) stop, easily accessible to Uber and you have your own dedicated parking bay should you have a rental car The studio is on the third floor of the apartment block and there is no lift, so a bit of stair climbing involved! There is high speed fibre and a smart TV in the studio. No normal TV channels. The block is very quiet and residents value the silence, so please be considerate about noise levels, especially when coming and going.
