Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape not far from Statesboro, Pooler or Savannah Ga. Surrounded by a beautiful 1930’s Bed and Breakfast Victorian home and a running plant nursery our home is located in a quaint little town called Hagan which was once a prosperous lumber town. Settlements along the route of the Savannah and Western Railroad began to prosper and become established as towns. We still enjoy the sound of the trains running cargo and supplies up and down the east coast.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Clear your mind and connect with nature as you relax on the screened porches. You can cookout and enjoy an outside fire. The yard is fenced in and perfect for your fur babies to run and play. The Treehouse is located approximately 10 miles south of Metter, GA where you have selections of many restaurants. The Ohoopee River is approximately 8 miles west for kayaking/fishing. (You will need a GA fishing license). The Treehouse awaits your visit.

Perfect Couple's or Solo Getaway 1840s Log Cabin

If you like the coziness and romance of a cabin you'll adore our historic 6 room log cabin which has both and modern comforts. With beautiful antique wood, porch, dock, treehouse & walking trails, no wonder the cabin and farm are often featured in magazines, movies, & photoshoots. For years we privately hosted friends, artists, writers, and musicians who loved the cabin and our farm so now we're offering to share it with you. The location is rural & safe Close to Statesboro, GSU, & Savannah.

The Log Cabin on the Canoochee River

This cabin is located on the river bank of the Canoochee River in Claxton, Georgia. This is a hidden treasure in south Georgia. The river is great for swimming, kayaking and fishing. During most of the year a vessel larger than a kayak will not be able to navigate the river. Note: Presently, winter months are not available to be booked. The past two winters have had excessive flooding. Host will make these weeks available two weeks at a time as the water level is adequate for access.

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Private gated property with outdoor seating and fire pit. Privacy fence surrounding this space right in the middle of town. Walking distance to grocery and eating . Sleeping for 4 must be adventurous and able to climb the ladders up to the lofted sleeping areas. Also once up in the loft movement will be limited to crawling in this area. It’s got a low ceiling and guest will not be able to stand up in the sleeping area’s

Just pop your outdoor movie screen up, relax and unwind. Don't fall asleep! You may miss the site of Bambi and the crew prancing through the fields.

The public boat ramp is just down the hill. If you prefer relaxing and sinking your toes into the sand, you will have access to the sandbar within the private-gated community (Gate code will be provided) There is also a playground & covered Pavilion. "PETS MUST BE ADDED TO REGISTRATION"

Claxton Country Getaway

Cozy and secluded 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home in Southeast Georgia; suited for a family or Couples getaway, Weekend visit with your GSU student, Vacation, wedding or romantic getaway. Graced with a large 5 acre private yard, come and relax, escape city life and enjoy nature. As night falls, soak up the stars while enjoying the large outdoor fireplace while relaxing in hammocks and swings. Total of 8 Guest Occupancy-Maximum this includes Children & pet!

Drift Away

This riverside retreat offers fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing on the porch and listen to the river run. There is a public boat ramp a few hundred yards away. Jack Hill State Park and Golf Course is just 8.7 miles away. Phone reception is poor unless you enable WiFi calling. This is a simple, but clean and cozy cabin. It isn’t the Hilton, but people seem to love it and we love staying here as often we can. Come fish, relax, and explore!
