Take time to unwind in the woods up north. Our cabin sits in the woods 🌲 and is surrounded by thousands of acres of state land. Hundreds of miles of trails for ATV and snowmobile riding in the area. Within 1.5 miles of the North Branch Ausable River and 3 miles of the Ausable River for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Approximately 20 minutes to downtown Grayling for all of your dining, shopping and entertainment needs. After the days activities, unwind by the fire pit and take in the stars ✨⭐️.

Remote, off-grid cabin w/pond on 120 acres + goats

Pull the plug at this unique and tranquil getaway that we call "Elysium Heritage Farm". Experience groomed trails, ponds, canals & marshes on our 120 acres of woods & wetlands. View multitudes of "flora and fauna" along with the fainting goats, chickens, rabbits & other critters of "The Farm". Go for a canoe or kayak trip and try your luck at catch & release fishing. The cabin has no electricity but solar lighting illuminates nicely. Convenient private showers available nearby. Shown in pictures

Or just sit and relax around a campfire! The cabin is fully furnished with all bedding, towels, dish cloths etc. and a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill. There are outdoor and indoor games. Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

Sit on the screened porch with its built-in grill, or relax and enjoy a campfire as the stars twinkle above. Wood for your first fire is provided with additional wood available. Walking distance of canoe rental, restaurants & the beach, you will surely create great memories here!

Unique Woods Retreat ~ Quiet place in Nature

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, not a party place. Built with many unique features: log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop. The metal stair railing designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

If your looking for a private oasis this is your place! We are on a private road, few neighbors, full time residents. We hope you appreciate the aesthetics and solitude. Our cabin has been in our family over 40 years, this is our first time hosting our beloved home. We hope you find it charming, comforting and a place to build beautiful memories. Our cabin is 25 minutes to West Branch, Houghton Lake or Roscommon. Cabin has been newly remodeled and has two bedrooms with queen beds . Weather permitting, you can have a camp fire in the back yard. Very close to ORV trails and events . Lake Saint Helen has a beach, fishing pier and beautiful sun sets .
