Top floor unit in a low-key, small set of condo cabins, great light, privacy. Perfect place to return after a day outside, or hang out in while others play. Close to Greenbrier River Trail, Cass trains, X-country skiing, golf, restaurants, ski and snowboard rentals, waterfalls, and miles of hiking trails. Hot tub and wifi. Easy parking.

Edifice Rex

Edifice Rex, a 300 square foot studio apartment, is only one mile and less than 2 minutes from Interstate 81 yet offers a very bucolic, peaceful setting. Countless cultural, historical and recreational opportunities exist within a 30 mile radius. The James River and Appalachian Trail are but minutes away. The name, "Edifice Rex" is to honor the caretaker on the property, a German Shepard named Rex. You will not have to interact with him ( he wears a radio collar) but he welcomes attention.

The enormous screened porch is where you will want to relax and enjoy the views. 3/4 mile to SML State Park(beach, hiking, biking, boat ramp), 4 miles to Parkway Marina, 1/2 mile to Mariners Landing Golf Course. I am minutes to the resort center yet central enough to take advantage of non resort amenities. While there is no ski in/out from this location, there is affordable food, country comfort, and you are still only 10 minutes from Top of the World. It is a very unique property and is geared towards regular skiers, bikers, families, and couples. You park right out front, the hot tub is next door, & restaurants and a market just a few minutes away. Any pet must be approved in advance.

When visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, stay at this quaint stone cottage less than a mile off of Route 19 in downtown Oak Hill, WV. Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.
