Σε 2 λεπτά ξεκινά το μονοπάτι για τα μοναστήρια των Μετεώρων (Αγίας Τριάδας, Αγίου Στεφάνου και όλους τους βράχους) για να μην αναφέρουμε το γεγονός ότι το κέντρο της Καλαμπάκας απέχει μόλις 7 λεπτά με τα πόδια (2 λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο). The house stands in the historic village of Portaria Pelion and it is about 500 m. from the central square. It's altitude is 630m., and has a spectacular view to Pagasitikos and the town of Volos. You can enjoy this view not only from the balcony but also inside the house. Furthermore the Ski Centre of Pelion is only 14km. far and the city of Volos 12km. Last but not least the beautiful beaches of Pelion are located in 31km. from Portaria.

Επιπλέον υπάρχει άμεση πρόσβαση σε "ιδιωτική" παραλία, ενώ το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται σε οικόπεδο 2 στρεμμάτων με ιδιωτικό πάρκινγκ, μπάρμπεκιου και άλλες ανέσεις. Ο χώρος βρίσκεται 16 χιλιόμετρα από τον Βόλο και αποτελεί καλή βάση για εξόρμηση στο Πήλιο.
