Welcome to our cozy lakeside cottage with private sauna on the Arctic Circle, a warm retreat where Nordic simplicity meets soulful comfort. Set on 2.7 ha of private land with direct access to Lake Miekojärvi, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and feel again. We are Joakim from Sweden and Jenny from Germany. We fell in love with the stillness and beauty of Arctic Finland, and we’re excited to share our cottage, and a little piece of that magic, with guests from around the world.

Nordic catch cabin

Enjoy your stay in our red wooden cabin just a 5 minute drive away from Jockfall. Jockfall is a well known fishing spot for Baltic Salmon in Europe. Our cabin has all the basics, including a boiler, woodstove and air heating pump. In this cabin you can recharge from sightseeing the beautifull nature. Enjoy the different seasons, 24h light during midsummer or the beautifull Northern lights during Autumn and Winter. Optional fishing guiding available, send us a message.

Slappna av i detta unika och lugna boende. Njut av härlig natur runt husknuten. Ta ett dopp från bryggan, tänd den vedeldade bastun vid sjökanten. Ro en tur med båten. Laga mat över öppen eld. Besök havsbad, mysigt sommarkafé eller gårdsbutik i närheten under sommartid. Vintertid finns hundspann inte långt ifrån huset. Tunnelmallinen hirsimökki Äkäsjoen rannassa. Mökin ikkunoista pääset seuraamaan virtaavaa jokea, jonne on matkaa alle 20 metriä. Voit käydä saunan jälkeen uimassa ilman, että on huolta naapureista. Tämä mökki majoittaa 7 henkeä parhaimmillaan, mutta toimii parhaiten alle kuuden hengen kera. Alakerrasta löytyy eteinen, tupakeittiö upealla takalla, sauna, pesuhuone, wc sekä makuuhuone. Yläkerrasta löytyy kaksi makuuhuonetta, joista kummastakin avautuu näkymä luontoon.

The cabin sits in a tranquil spot by a river above the Arctic Circle, far from streetlights, where the sky is dark and open in every direction — perfect for watching the northern lights. You can wait for the auroras in the comfort of a warm cabin or the riverside sauna, and when they appear, admire them straight from the terrace. Other winter activities, like snowshoeing and husky rides, are also close by and easy to reach.

Cozy log cabin (half of a pair-house) for rent in Ylläsjärvi. Location is excellent for cross country skiing and hiking. Peaceful and quiet location. Beautiful mountain view from kitchen and sauna. 65 m2, including living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 lofts, kitchen, sauna, bathroom and separate WC. Final cleaning and bed linen can be ordered for an extra fee. By car to Ylläsjärvi village 5 km and to the slopes 9 km.

Ta en paus och varva ner i denna fridfulla miljö. Karins lägenhet har ett fullt utrustat kök, sovrum med två enkelsängar och allrummet har en bäddsoffa. Finns även en toalett med dusch och en altan där man kan njuta av utsikten över Kalix älv som ligger ca 40 m från lägenheten. Nyhet sommaren 2026! Nu finns möjlighet att hyra elcykel.
