This small inn was renovated from a kimono shop building on the seaside of fishing town at the base of the Noto Peninsula. The location overlooks Toyama Bay, so you can get a glimpse of seaside life, including the ocean and townscape, from the windows of your room or the rooftop. In our desire to cherish the local culture and lifestyle, we have created a space that makes use of old furniture and folk art that we have collected from Japan. Please enjoy your stay in a space filled with our love!

Take a car or bus to Gokayama, where the air is clean and the water is delicious! From the nearest interchange, it's less than a 5-minute drive, but we recommend taking the local roads while enjoying views of the mountain-ringed Gokayama. Even if you don't have a car, you can get off at Shin-Takaoka Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, take the World Heritage Bus, and get off at the nearest bus stop while enjoying the mountain views from the window. Essai is just a two-minute walk away.

Escaping from the city, please heal your body and soul in Tanekura village with a landscape of the heart which makes a feeling of old Japan scenery and tradition. Based on the additional inquiry and reservation, you can experience a part of the life in mountain village, such as the IRORI dinner meal, wild herb picking, cooking buckwheat noodle, and agricultural experience. The dishes for serving can be adapted to vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free based on a request beforehand.

入善町　まるで実家に帰ったような懐かしさ（おにぎり体験付き）

　Scobe’donは、日本語では、「彦兵衛ドン」と言う。 語尾にドンとつくのは、殿が訛ってドンとなったものと推測される。 豪農だったか、知らぬが…「さん」と付けて呼ぶより、「ドン」の方が格が上になる敬称と昔の人達は捉えていたようだ。 　先祖名、職業名、家の本家、分家関係などによって呼び分けたそうだ。築８０年、物の少ない時代によくもこの大きな家を建てたものだと思う。 　時代を超えて、黄昏～月夜～日の出を繰り返して、今、ここに。 ● 昔は空腹を満たすだけだったと思うが、振り返れば細やかでありながらも贅沢で粋な料理だった。…それは、おにぎりと玉子焼だ。加えて地域の食材。 　宿泊の方々には、一緒におにぎり作りと玉子焼作りを体験していただきます（要予約）。　 　時間が止まったように…実家のような古民家で１日１組、ゆったりと過ごせると思います。

HOUSEHOLD is a complex facility that is a renovation of an old building near the sea. The 1st floor is a kitchen where everyone enjoy as a cafe or to make dinner, the 2nd floor is a gallery, the 3rd floor is a second house for long stay, and the 4th floor is an inn. Guests can use the spacious kitchen counter on the first floor on dinner time.
